Dear Chris-
Many teachings speak in terms of awakening as a future happening and either
1. its up to the seeker to accept it, or
2. the seeker cries for it, but must wait upon God's timing for it to be granted.

Can I actually oppose the will of God if its "up to me"?.
And might it be that what i think I'm still waiting for is already accomplished and I just think im waiting?
My friend says, "There is only one thought between you and awakening, and that thought is, 'I am not awakened'."

Is it really necessary to give up opinions? I'm afraid my friends will think I'm weird. When I'm with others, it seems that opinions are what it's all about. Thank you.
